Cologne/Düsseldorf, 11 May 2007. The 3rd EURO ID 2007 trade fair in Cologne was a complete success, and Peter Altes, trade fair project manager for IBC EUROFORUM GmbH, summed up the event positively: “Twenty-five per cent more exhibitors, over 3,000 trade visitors and a successful transformation from a hardware trade fair to a solutions trade fair. This enabled us to achieve and even considerably exceed the goals we had set ourselves. This is an excellent start to the ambitious, continuing development of the fair in 2008.” For three days, over 100 exhibitors presented their new products at the 3rd International Trade Fair and Knowledge Forum for Automatic Identification. Besides numerous players in the auto ID and RFID markets, companies such as SAP, Sybase and Intel decided to take part in the trade fair in 2007 for the first time, while many others had registered again. ...[more]
Presentation of the European Auto ID Award 2007
Together with AIM IBC EUROFORUM offered the “European Auto ID Award” for the second time, which was awarded at the trade fair on 8 May, in the categories “RFID”, “Barcode” and “Innovative Company”. The award in the “RFID” category went to DaimlerChrysler AG, the FractureCode Corporation from Denmark won the “Barcode” award and Ubisense AG won the award in the “Innovative Company” category. ...[more]
